OBSESIÓN CARNAL
STATEMENT
A visual exploration photographing behind the scenes of Feminist P*rn G*ng B*ngs movies since 2019, seeking to capture moments that emulate Renaissance paintings in the chaos of filming trying to change the visual perception of p*rn.
What happens if we photograph the aesthetic beauty of a p*rn scene, a gang bang? Can we change its negative connotation?
Human nudity has been a recurring theme in art history, both in the West and the East. It has symbolized everything from physical punishment and guilt to unfulfilled desire and sexual violence. The naked body has been used as a means to reflect on good and evil, the permitted and the prohibited, as well as on limits and transgressions.
This work seeks to elevate what is traditionally considered reproachable to pieces that could go unnoticed (a trompe-l'oeil), resembling great classical works (Caravaggio, Rubens), highlighting the moral debate: who and how decides what is acceptable.
